About
Denis Séverin is professor of cello at the Haute École de Musique de Genève and at the Haute École des Arts de Berne. Passionate about teaching, he directs various pedagogical projects at the Jazeps Vitols Academy in Riga, the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, the Gdansk Music Academy and the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He regularly gives masterclasses throughout the world (Germany, France, Brazil, Ukraine…) and has sat on the jury of prestigious competitions.
Denis Séverin has won numerous prizes (Grammy Awards 2007, Echo Klassik Prize 2015) and performs as a soloist with major orchestras (Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Ukrainian National Orchestra, Archangel Chamber Orchestra, etc.).
