About

The violinist Gregory Ahss began his studies at the Gnessin Institute in Moscow, before going on to perfect his skills in Israel and the United States, where he obtained his diploma from the New England Conservatory in Boston. Once his studies were completed, he embarked on a successful orchestral career. From 2005 to 2011 he was Konzertmeister of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and from 2012 he held the same position with the Camerata Salzburg. As a sought-after soloist, Gregory Ahss has performed with renowned conductors such as Claudio Abbado and Yannick Nézet-Seguin, and is also active as a chamber musician with colleagues such as Natalia Gutman, Gautier Capuçon, Sabine Meyer and Daniel Hope.
