Ekaterina Shelehova took the internet by storm in 2021 with her unique performance of “Earth Melodies” on Italy’s Got Talent, amassing over 500 million views online. Captivating audiences with her ethno-operatic fusion, she has carved a niche in her own unique genre. Since then, she has composed and released original compositions, performed on Bulgaria’s Got Talent, and joined the world-renowned band ERA as a solo singer. In 2024, Ekaterina’s talent earned her the Golden Buzzer on Spain’s Got Talent. Ekaterina’s musical journey began at the age of 4, and by 6, she had already recorded radio commercials and an EP of children’s songs. Her debut album, “MOONLIGHT – Katya”, a classical crossover-style work, was released in 2013.
A graduate with a Master’s degree in Opera Performance from the Conservatory Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, Italy, Ekaterina has performed worldwide, showcasing both her lyrical repertoire in operas such as Rigoletto, L’Elisir D’amore and Don Giovanni, as well as her original compositions. Television audiences have witnessed her talent on shows like Nessun Dorma (Italy), where she shared the stage with Ted Neely (the original Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar).
In addition to her performances, Ekaterina has composed the original soundtrack for the italian film La Tempesta and contributed music to the popular video game Atomic Heart. She also performs as a guest artist with the Worakls Orchestra, as well as with Limitless Orchestra led by Aleksey Igudesman. In 2025, Ekaterina is set to release her highly anticipated new album, in a style Ekaterina describes as ‘New age operatic ethno-pop’.
