From next Monday, the town of Sion will be filled with music students coming to attend the 26 masterclasses at the 63rd edition of the Tibor Varga Music Academy. All these classes, taught by undisputed masters of their instruments, are open to the public.

During special public masterclasses every Thursday at 10.00 and 14.00 the professors will clearly demonstrate their work to you. The dates will be published on our website.

The Tibor Varga Academy is not only a place for the exchange of knowledge and ideas between renowned masters and talented young musicians, but also a mini concert season.  From 26 July to 12 August, six professors’ concerts will be held at the Fondation Louis Moret in Martigny, the Fondation de Wolff and the Black Box (Pôle Musique) in Sion, as well as at the Lac Souterrain in St-Léonard.

Students won’t be left out – quite the opposite, in fact: With around forty free concerts, they will be performing in Sion (the Museum of Nature, the Arcades de la Grenette and the Pôle Musique) and the surrounding area (the Chapelle des Haudères and St Sylve’s Church in Vex), as well as in Martigny (the Louis Moret Foundation).
