Since this morning, despite the school holidays, the Pôle Musique has been buzzing with musicians and filled with harmonious sounds: it marks the start of the 63rd Tibor Varga Summer Academy.
During this first week from 13 to 18 July, 50 students will be taught by six teachers to refine their interpretation of selected works. Clarinet, cello, double bass and piano will be the instruments of the week. You are welcome to come and watch the musicians at work during two special public masterclasses this Thursday 16 July (details below).
During a workshop running alongside the masterclasses, the students will tackle the challenging yet fascinating repertoire of contemporary music under the guidance of William Blank, and will present the results of their work this Friday 17 July at the Fondation Louis Moret. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore a fabulous musical world, guided by a renowned Swiss composer.
You will also be able to hear our students perform older repertoire at six further concerts, including one at the Musée de la Nature and another under the Arcades de la Grenette (all concerts listed below).
We are delighted to be launching the Tibor Varga Academy together with you!
