A foretaste of the festival with the academy's professors
In just under a month, the 61st Tibor Varga Music Academy will open its doors to around 200 students for its summer session. From 8 July to 10 August, these young musicians will be taught by 25 experienced and dedicated professors, some of whom will be donning their soloist jackets to give you a foretaste of the upcoming Sion Festival. From 13 July, six concerts await you in enchanting locations (see below), one at the Fondation de Wolff in Sion, two at Lac Souterrain in St-Léonard and three at the Fondation Louis Moret in Martigny. Don’t wait too long to book, places are limited!
In addition, as in the past, the Academy’s students will be presenting the fruits of their labour in numerous free concerts – 36 in total this year – including on Wednesday at 11.15 am at the Musée de la nature (Sion) and on Thursday at 7.15 pm at the Aula FXB of the Pôle Musique (Sion), the new home of the Tibor Varga Academy of Music and the Fondation Sion Violon Musique. After these concerts, a drink will refresh you and give you the opportunity for pleasant conversations. Come to the Aula FXB for many more interesting concerts! The students will also be performing in Champlan/Grimisuat, Les Haudères and Vex (see below).
