Chizu Miyamoto studied at the Toho Gakuen High School of Music and the Toho Gakuen Tokyo with Prof. Kazuko Ariga.

Living in Vienna since 2001, she studied instrumental accompaniment and chamber music at the Conservatory of the city of Vienna with Dr. Johannes Kropfitsch and the Altenberg trio Wien.

Chizu Miyamoto played in various chamber music formations in a number of famous music festivals as Rachlin and friends in Dubrovnik, the Cello Biennale Amsterdam, the Sion Festival, the Estate Musicale Portogruaro in Italy, the Eilat Music Festival in Israel, the Nagano Aspen Music Festival in Japan, the Harriet and Friends Festival in Austria, the Bruckner Festival in Linz, the Richard Strauss Festival in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Bavaria and the Kronberg Cello Akademie.

She is regularly giving solo recitals in her home country Japan, where she also won the silver medal at the Kawai Music Competition.

Since 2005, Chizu Miyamoto works at the Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien as accompanist in the class of Prof. Pavel Vernikov.

She was official accompanist of various international violin competitions like the Fritz Kreisler competition in Vienna, the Tibor Varga competition in Switzerland and the Johannes Brahms competition in Austria, and is accompanist in many music masterclasses in Europe and Japan.

In 2010, she received the special award for the best piano accompanist of the David Oistrakh Competition in Moscow.

She is working with famous musicians like Pavel Vernikov, Natalia Gutman, Julian Rachlin, Gerhard Schulz, Boris Kuschnir, Thomas Christian, Werner Hink, Lilia Schulz-Bayrova, Pierre Amoyal, Michael Frischenschlager and Maxim Vengerov.
