About
A curious and versatile musician, Didier Métrailler is currently in charge of the percussion department of the Conservatoire Cantonal du Valais. As a teacher, he also has a successful career as a performer on the classical and contemporary stages. He has collaborated with the Berner Symphonie Orchester, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Sinfonietta de Lausanne, and the Ircam, among others.
At the same time, driven by the desire to create and compose, he has been expanding his artistic language (contemporary, ethnic, electronic music, etc.) and developing numerous multidisciplinary shows. In 2015, he founded the association “Le Chant des Lieux” with Émilie Vuissoz and devoted himself to the development of new projects such as the Geological Soundwalk, the travelling creations “Tzali” (opus 1,2,3) or the show “Monte”…
