Hila Baggio has performed the roles of Lucia (Lucia di Lammermoor), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Gilda (Rigoletto), Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Frasquita and Micaela (Carmen), Marie (La Fille du Regiment), Norina (Don Pasquale), Adina (L’Elisir d’amore), La Renarde (La Petite Renarde), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Despina (Cosi fan Tutte), Pamina (Die Zauberflote) and others at The Israeli Opera. She has also performed the role of Oscar (Un Ballo in Maschera) at the Opera de Lorraine and Theatre Luxembourg, Giulia (La Scala di Seta) at Pesaro, La Renarde (La Petite Renarde Rusée) at the Opera National de Bergen.

 

Other notable performances include Schonberg’s Pierrot Lunaire in Berlin with Daniel Barenboim, then on tour with the Israeli Chamber in the United States and Israel, Mahler’s Symphony No. 9 at the Dresden MusikFestspiele, Brahms’s Requiem with the Valencia Orchestra conducted by Omer Wellber at the Palais des Arts Reina Sofia, Malher’s Symphoy No. 2 with Dan Ettinger, a Gala Concert with the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta and, Mozart’s C Minor Mass with the Mexico Philharmonic Orchestra. Hila Baggio has sung in concerts and recitals in New York, London, Rome, St Petersburg, Croatia and Azerbaijan.

 

Hila Baggio has performed under the direction of great conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Frederic Chaslin, Daniele Callegari, Rani Calderon, Dan Ettinger, Asher Fisch, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Matthias Pintscher, Omer Wellber, Alberto Zedda and others. She has been a member of the Israeli Opera Studio and has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the second prize in the Operetta category at the International Hand Gabor Belvedere Competition in Vienna, the Israeli Minister of Culture Award, the Rosenblum Performance Prize, the Silverman Prize, the Grabov Award, the Basser Award, the America-Israel Cultural Foundation and the Israel Vocal Arts Institute Foundation.

 

In 2019, she will make her debut at the Semperoper in Dresden as Gepopo/Venus in Ligeti’s Le Grand Macabre. She will also perform the role of Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Opera de Rennes, the Opera de Nantes and in Tel Aviv with Daniel Oren, and the role of Despina in Cosi fan tutte at the Israeli Opera.
