About

A music scholar at “St. Paul’s Girls’ School”, Rebecca took piano lessons with Judith Burton. She then studied at the “Royal Northern College of Music” with Renna Kellaway and subsequently Arnaldo Cohen, winning many prizes and competitions including the National Mozart Competition. She continued her Postgraduate studies at the “Royal Academy of Music” with Malcolm Martineau and Julius Drake.

 

Since being awarded a scholarship to attend the “International Musicians Seminar, Prussia Cove” with Ferenc Rados and Alexander Lonquich, she has since returned regularly as class pianist for Ralph Kirshbaum, Steven Isserlis, Andras Keller and Pamela Frank.

 

Rebecca is a regular performer in many major London venues including the Wigmore Hall, Albert Hall, Barbican Hall and St.Martin-in-the-Fields both as a chamber musician and as a soloist with the “Surrey Mozart Players” and the “Cameristi del Maggio Musicale”.

She collaborates with such musicians as Gregory Ahss, Andras Keller, Martin Ostertag, and Konstantin Pfiz, with concerts broadcast on television and radio. She works regularly at the “Scuola di Musica di Fiesole”, collaborating with cellists, Natalia Gutman and Franz Helmerson.

 

With the violist, Jörg Winkler she gives many concerts in Italy in festivals such as “L’Estate Regina”, “Montecatini”, “Amici della Musica di Fiesole” and the “Festival di Alghero, Sardinia”. She has taken part in many International Festivals in the Uk, France, Germany, Austria and Italy.

 

She has given concerts in India, Japan and Saudi Arabia and set up a Chamber Music Festival in Northern Cyprus, inviting many international soloists. She has also toured with the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, giving concerts in Germany and Italy as part of the “Mahler Chamber Orchestra Soloists”.
