Rules

In 2026, for its fifth edition, the Tibor Junior Competition will embark on an unusual journey. Like a violin entrusted to the hands of dear friends, it will be “loaned” to our partners at the Piccolo Violino Magico International Violin Competition to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their wonderful musical venture. This special edition will draw its bow not in Switzerland, but in Italy, where the competition will be hosted under the auspices of Piccolo Violino Magico. The esteemed Pavel Vernikov will, of course, continue to accompany the Competition as its Artistic Director. Thus, for one year, the two competitions will unite their strings and inspirations, offering young talents a new resonant stage and weaving a shared harmony filled with festivity and renewal.

The Tibor Junior International Violin Competition, Switzerland for young talented violinists endeavours to find not only virtuosi but also future musicians.

For the 2026 edition, the Competition will take place in San Vito al Tagliamento (Italy) from 01 to 04 of July.

In the Final Round, 3 finalists will be accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

  • The second round will take place in San Vito al Tagliamento and will be accompanied by Piano
  • In the second round, each candidate will play in duo with another candidate
