Ricardo Alí Álvarez Acuña is a prize-winning Mexican pianist, awarded at prestigious competitions such as the Angélica Morales and Edvard Grieg Piano Competitions. He has performed at major venues including the Auditorio Nacional de Madrid, the Edvard Grieg Museum, Teatro Cagnoni, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. He is a regular guest at international festivals such as Ticino Musica, Garda Lake Music Festival, and Accademia Perosi in Biella, and collaborates frequently with artists like Marco Rizzi, Asier Polo, and Silvia Marcovici. He combines his performing career with teaching at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. His solo album Ballades et Images (Altri Suoni) features works by Liszt, Debussy, and Ponce. He has appeared as a soloist with major orchestras in Europe and Mexico, including the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana and the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México. He studied in Hannover, Lugano, and Mexico with teachers such as Einar Steen-Nøkleberg, Nora Doallo, and Homero Francesch.
