It was in his native Neuchâtel that tenor Bernard Richter began studying singing, before joining the Opera Studio in Bienne, where his career quickly took off. Today, he is internationally renowned and performs in the most beautiful festivals and the most prestigious opera houses. Recent successes include Pelléas (Tokyo), Don Ottavio (Scala, Milan), his debut at the Royal Opera House in London and a new production of Ariodante at the Bolshoi in Moscow. The 22/23 season sees him in a new production of Dialogues des Carmélites in Vienna and in various concerts under the baton of Daniele Gatti in Rome and Turin, while the 2023/2024 season will see him as Tito in La Clemenza di Tito in a new production at the Hamburg Opera and at the Grand Théâtre de Genève.
Bernard Richter has also just given a series of highly acclaimed masterclasses at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne.
