About

Ilumina Music is a classical music collective founded in 2015 by violist Jennifer Stumm on a coffee farm in Brazil. Its mission is to provide talented young musicians, often from disadvantaged backgrounds, with access to top-level education and international careers. Ilumina brings together renowned global artists and emerging talents from South America and beyond, fostering exchange and mentorship.

Since its founding, Ilumina has enabled hundreds of young musicians to attend leading conservatories worldwide. Its annual festival in São Paulo is recognized as one of Latin America’s most innovative classical music events, attracting diverse audiences, many experiencing classical music for the first time. The ensemble is known for immersive performances in both unconventional spaces and major concert halls.

Following a celebrated debut at the Lucerne Festival in 2022, Ilumina has performed at the Edinburgh International Festival and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Through digital initiatives like “Equal Music,” Ilumina also expands access to music education globally, reinforcing its vision of music as a force for social transformation.
