About

Valentin Uryupin has established close artistic partnerships with orchestras and opera houses as a conductor in both the symphonic and operatic fields. He has worked with orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony, the Netherlands Philharmonic, and the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. As an opera conductor, he has led productions at Frankfurt Opera, Stuttgart State Opera, New National Theatre Tokyo, and the Bregenz Festival. Current invitations bring him to the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Teatro Regio Torino (Pique Dame), and Rotterdam Philharmonic. Born in Ukraine in 1985, he won the Sir Georg Solti Conducting Competition in 2017. Prior to this, he was an award-winning clarinetist with over 20 international competitions.
