For health reasons, Janine Jansen, artistic co-director of the Sion Festival, and the pianist Nikola Meeuwsen have had to withdraw from the concerts on 5 and 6 September. Both concerts will take place as scheduled. Violinist Svetlana Makarova and violist Blythe Teh Engstroem will step in at short notice, joining Boris Brovtsyn (violin), Amihai Grosz (viola), Daniel Blendulf (cello), Jonathan Swensen (cello) and Denis Kozhukhin (piano).

The programme for 5 September has also been amended, featuring works by Beethoven, Brahms and Kodály, whilst the programme for the Church Trail on 6 September (three concerts) remains unchanged. Tickets already purchased remain valid without any action being required on the part of the audience. Anyone who would nevertheless like a refund may contact the ticket office until Wednesday 2 September.
