Disciple of the Michelangeli school, Roberto Paruzzo has obtained his diploma at the Conservatory of Milan with honorable mention. Winner of 14 competitions in Italy, he has performed in some of the most prestigious theatres in Europe, Asia and South America. He has been invited by Teatro alla Scala in Milan to perform in the official concert series for the last four consecutive seasons. Recent highlights include performances at the Gran Teatro La Fenice and Goldoni in Venice, Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, Sala Verdi in Milan, Teatro Filarmonico and Teatro Nuovo in Verona, Auditorium Haydn in Bolzano, Teatro Sociale in Trento, Auditorium Pollini in Padua, Teatro Da Ponte di Vittorio Veneto, Théâtre de l’Opéra de Nice, Concertgebouw in Bruges, Théâtre deSingel in Antwerp, Théâtre Royal in Brussels, Theater National in Bern, Theater Basel, Duke’s Hall in London, Drama Theatre of Hong-Kong and Museum of Art in São Paulo. He has appeared as soloist with numerous prestigious orchestras such as Flanders Symphony Orchestra, Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphony Orchestra of Udine, Symphony Orchestra of Bergamo, Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Symphony Orchestra of Sanremo, Chamber Orchestra ‘I Virtuosi Italiani’, performing the most important piano concertos under the direction of Yuri Simonov, Zsolt Hamar, Johannes Wildner, David Angus, Fabrizio Carminati, Corrado Rovaris, Tiziano Severini, Dimitri Vasiliev and Enrique Mazzola. He has recorded for the cd labels Concerto, Ambitus and for Amadeus, the leading music magazine in Italy. Roberto Paruzzo is a professor at the Conservatory of Castelfranco Veneto (Venice).
