Elena Zhukova is Associate Professor at the National Academy of Music of Ukraine and also works at the Glière Academy of Music in Kiev. A winner of seven international competitions, she studied with Professors Shabaltina (harpsichord), Ryabov and Kozlov (piano) and is now in demand as a soloist, accompanist and chamber musician. She participated in the first harpsichord festival “Cembalissimo” (Hungary), the summer courses of Montisi (Italy), the Olavsfestdagene (Norway), and the Fringe Oude Muziek Utrecht (Netherlands), and gives numerous harpsichord and piano concerts throughout Europe. Elena Zhukova holds a doctorate in music and in 2009 she defended her thesis entitled “Piano music of Francis Poulenc in the context of French keyboard traditions”.
