A return to childhood with the Playtoy Orchestra! Featuring plastic drums, cardboard accordions, toy guitars, puppets and rocking horses, this ensemble of six musicians explores classical music, jazz and many other styles with boundless creativity. Designed for audiences aged 2 to 120, this interactive performance explores the dual meaning of the verb “to play”: to have fun and to play music.
In this concert specially designed for young audiences, the Playtoy Orchestra journeys through centuries and styles with imagination and flair. From Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik to Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony — subtly blended with Pérez Prado’s mambo — via Johann Strauss’s famous Radetzky March. Rossini’s energetic William Tell overture meets the fiery Hungarian Dance No. 5 by Brahms, while Offenbach’s famous Can-can from Orphée aux enfers extends these lively rhythms.
Reinventing the classical concert in a playful, lively and accessible way, the Playtoy Orchestra invites the audience to become part of the performance — whether by conducting the musicians or singing along. A joyful and collective musical experience for the whole family.
