Jean Duperrex

Jean Duperrex was born in 1962 in Lausanne. After a CFC as a draftsman and a degree in biology, he turned to music, studying saxophone and piano. He quickly became active in various jazz and rock formations, Beau Tabou, Baron Samedi and Quartier Interdit, as well as in duet with Alexandre Cel-lier. Creator of several pieces of music for theatre, his passion for cinema is reflected in  the several pieces of film music he has also written for Pierre-Yves Borgeaud, Robert Bouvier and Pascal Salamin. In 2009, the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra commissioned him to create and conduct what would become the Tour du Monde in an armchair. This unanimously appreciated show has been running continuously since then.
