About

Roland Vouilloz was born in Martigny in 1964. After an initial training as an architect, he entered the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Dramatique in Geneva in 1988. After graduating, he moved to Lausanne and began a rich career, alternating between theatre, cinema and television. Roland Vouilloz is a lively actor and has more than 100 shows to his credit. Today, he is based in Geneva. On screen, he has worked with Francis Reusser, Silvio Soldini, Greg Zglinski, Léo Maillard and Christophe Marzal. In the theatre, he has worked with Philippe Mentha, Philippe Sireuil, Benno Besson, Jean Liermier, Denis Maillefer, Jean Liermier and Christophe Perton. Among other awards, he was honoured in 2004 with the Prix culturel de la Ville de Martigny in 2004 and, in 2011, received the Swiss Award for Best Actor in Solothurn for his role in the series Crom directed by Bruno Deville, an award he received again in 2020 for his role in the series Helvetica.
