Sion Festival 2021

As always, despite the pandemic, the Sion Festival focuses on the quality of the reception of both the public and the artists, in complete safety. To do so, following the recommendations of the Confederation, the organisers have chosen to limit the capacity of its venues and consequently not to make the COVID certificate compulsory for access to its concerts and shows.

As members of the public, all you must do is respect a few simple rules which are now part of your daily life, and which we would like to remind you of here:

  • bring and wear your mask inside;
  • wear your mask outside if the distances cannot be respected (at least 1.5 metres);
  • disinfect your hands with the gel available in the festival area;
  • remain seated during the concerts or spectacles (even outside);
  • leave us your contact details to allow the possibility of contact tracing (these will be deleted 2 weeks after the event).

Because of this choice, you will be able to “take your ease” in the festival halls, since their capacity is limited to two thirds, in other words:

  • 420 seats for the Ferme-Asile
  • 160 seats for the Jesuit Church
  • 40 seats for the Petithéâtre
  • 537 seats for the Cathedral

So do not wait too long to reserve your seats through our box office!

The same rule will apply to the outdoor areas during the day Musique en fête on 21 August, with capacities ranging from 65 seats for the Treille to 200 seats for the Place du Théâtre de Valère. You should therefore arrive early enough to ensure a place!

Safety and comfort, these principles also apply to the restaurant and reception areas.

Hygiene is the key to any good protection against viruses, so all closed areas will be regularly ventilated and disinfected, and closed waste bins will be available to the public and artists.

Sion Festival staff and volunteers as well as artists will have to show their credentials: they will either carry a Covid certificate or will have to be tested – for the staff at least once a week for the duration of the festival.
