Stephanie Gurga, a versatile musician, performs on piano, harpsichord, organ, fortepiano and conductor. She studied piano at DePauw University in Indiana (USA) with Claude Cymerman, then at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot in Paris, finally specializing in early music at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany.

Invited by various festivals of international renown, she has participated in numerous concerts as a soloist or in chamber music ensembles. She performed at the Palacìos das Artes (Belo Horizonte, Brazil), the National Music Museum (South Dakota, USA), the Ritratti Festival (Italy), the Ticino Musica Festival Lugano (Switzerland), the Orecchio di Giano de Rome (Italy), the Lauenen Chamber Concerts (Switzerland), and many famous concert hall in Switzerland, Great-Britain, South Africa, France, Turkey, Germany and Taïwan.

She is regularly invited to play continuo for orchestras in Switzerland and Europe under the direction of conductors such as John Nelson, Paul Goodwin and Michael Hofstetter.

In 2010, Stephanie Gurga was engaged as an accompanist at the HEMU “Vaud-Valais-Friborg” in Lausanne and Sion (Switzerland). In 2012, she was appointed Assistant Musical Director at the Woodhouse Opera (Surrey, England), annually coaching and leading performances of a number of baroque operas. In 2016, she recorded with DakApp the three sonatas for viola da gamba and harpsichord by J. S. Bach with the violist Diemut Poppen.
