Founded in Sion in 1967 by Tibor Varga, the International Violin Competition has become a global reference. Open to young violinists aged 17 to 30, it aims to discover the talents of tomorrow and support them in their professional journey. Organized by the Sion Violon Musique Foundation, the Competition stands out for its high artistic standards and the quality of its international jury. The competition is chaired by Pavel Vernikov, alongside eight expert jurors. Over CHF 40,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top candidates.
