For its fourth week, from 3 to 9 August, the Tibor Varga Academy is introducing a new feature with a Baroque Music Camp for young musicians (aged 10 to 17). Come and applaud them at their final concert on Thursday, 6 August in the Aula FXB! You will also have the opportunity to hear their professors in the same venue on Wednesday, 5 August : Stéphanie Gurga, Cédric Meyer, Sue-Ying Koang, Sophie Lamberbourg and Claire Garde.
Flute, violin, cello, piano and voice will also resonate throughout the Pôle Musique, the Nature Museum, the Grenette Arcades, the Fondation de Wolff and St-Sylve Church (Vex) during nine other concerts, including two professors’ concerts.
“Flute, Perspectives…” is the title of the concert presented by José-Daniel Castellon (flute) and Veronica Kuijken (piano) in the enchanting setting of the Fondation de Wolff. The two musicians invite you on a journey through the flute repertoire, from Telemann to contemporary music (7 August).
Two outstanding artists will engage in a musical dialogue on the same instrument in the Black Box at the Pôle Musique in Sion. Philippe Cassard and Cédric Pescia will perform some of the finest works from the four-hand piano repertoire, from Mozart to Debussy (9 August).
As in previous weeks, you will also be able to attend two public masterclasses on Thursday, 6 August (flute and cello). A wonderful opportunity to observe musicians in their pursuit of the finest interpretation of a musical work.
