About
Anna Agafia Egholm studied violin at the Royal Danish Academy of Music before training with Svetlana Makarova at the HEMU – Vaud. She continued her studies at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth with Augustin Dumay. The Dane has won numerous competition prizes, including 1st Prize at the Tibor Varga Competition and 2nd Prize at the Singapore Competition. Today, Anna leads an international solo career, playing regularly with various European and American orchestras. Passionate about chamber music, she collaborates with some of the world’s greatest musicians: Renaud Capuçon, Miguel da Silva and the David Oistrakh Quartet. Released in March 2023, her debut album for Claves Records was unanimously acclaimed by critics for its emotional richness and virtuosity.
