Daniel Blendulf, a cellist by training, has a dual career as a soloist and conductor and in 2014 was awarded the Herbert Blomstedt Prize for conducting. For a long time artistic advisor to the Dala Sinfonietta (Sweden), an ensemble with which many inspiring collaborations have been established – including a Japanese tour with cellist Torleif Thedéen – the musician has worked with many high-quality ensembles, among them the Tonhalle Orchestra Zürich, the Camerata Salzburg or the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra. He plays a Vincenzo Panormo cello from 1791.
