Ensemble Vocal de Saint-Maurice

The Ensemble Vocal de Saint-Maurice was founded in 1963 by Canon Marius Pasquier, with the aim of offering the services of a quality choir for broadcast masses. The group has retained its original mission – still part of its daily life – with increased competence in the field of sacred music. From Gregorian chant to contemporary creations, via Renaissance masterpieces and the vast oratorios of the repertoire, the group’s forty or so choristers happily practice the stylistic great divide, and never forbid themselves from making happy forays into secular waters. The ensemble has been directed since 2018 by Charles Barbier.
