Francis Gouton

The cellist Francis Gouton has performed in most of the great international halls, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician (Kennedy Center Washington, Sydney Opera House, Schauspielhaus Berlin, Wigmore Hall…); his partners include Jean Jacques Kantorow, Emmanuel Pahud, Nelson Goerner and the Jerusalem Quartet, and he regularly performs with orchestras such as the Realfilharmonia de Galicia, the Camerata Europeana, the Maracaibo Symphony Orchestra or the Tokyo Metropolitan. An eclectic musician, he performs Bach Suites and contemporary works with equal joy, and has been applauded alongside the Claude Bolling Jazz Trio, saxophonist Daniel Schnyder and drummer Jason Marsalis. Passionate about teaching, Francis Gouton was appointed to the Musikhochschule in Mannheim in 2020 and gives masterclasses all over the world.
