Considered as a guitarist with excellent artistry and a unique mastery of his instrument, and winner of several international competitions, George Vassilev has performed as a soloist in renowned venues in many countries around the world. He has been invited to collaborate with several concert houses and has played with many prestigious ensembles under the baton of renowned conductors.

In high demand as a chamber musician, he has collaborated with artists such as James Crabb, Richard Toghetti Brigitte Fournier, Stéphane Chappuis, André Ducret, Irina-Kalina Goudeva, Elmira Darvarova, Lionel Monnet, Ejnar Kanding, Christophe Fellay, Boris Berezovski, Ute Lemper, Angel Zaberski and Emmanuel Pahud, among others.

Besides his concert work, George Vassilev is often invited to conduct masterclasses and participate in various forums and festivals throughout the world. He has also taught at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne in Sion since 2001.

George Vassilve thoroughly enjoys recording. Apart from radio and television broadcasts, he often participates in contemporary and experimental music studio projects. He has made about fifteen CDs, two of them solo, distributed by different producers or by his own label GVRecords (www.gvrecords.info).
