Born in Toulouse in 1988, Juliette Barbanègre graduated from the Émile Cohl School in Lyon. Specialising in children’s publishing, the French illustrator stands out for her delicate and dreamlike work, offering atmospheres that are both poetic and disturbing. Nourished by literature and mythology, her imagination readily uses symbols and deploys a wonderful palette of contrasts. The artist has been living and working in Nantes for several years.
