About

Born in Mantua in 1990, Miriam Prandi followed a double curriculum that led her to study piano and cello together at the highest level. She made a sensational debut at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in 2016, performing both Mozart’s Piano Concerto K.595 and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in C major. In 2014 she was awarded the Rahn Prize by Sol Gabetta. She also won the First Prize at the Geminiani Competition in Verona – as well as many other awards. Her dual career has taken her to the major European and North American stages. Miriam Prandi plays a 1712 Giovanni Grancino cello, generously donated by the Pro Canale Onlus Foundation.
