About

The Korean Chamber Orchestra was founded in 1965 and quickly established itself as the country’s leading chamber orchestra. A fine discography and a varied repertoire have helped to establish the ensemble on the international stage. It has now performed in most of the major Asian, European and American concert halls, as well as in a large number of festivals. In 2020, the orchestra – under the artistic direction of Kim Min – celebrated its 55th anniversary under the sign of Mozart: a complete performance of all 46 symphonies of the composer has been planned. Soo-yeoul Choi is the principal guest conductor of the Korean ensemble for the 2022 season.
