American violinist Stella Chen garnered worldwide attention with her first-prize win at the 2019 Queen Elizabeth International Violin Competition, followed by the 2020 Avery Fisher Career Grant. Since then, Stella has performed with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Israel Philharmonic, and Chamber Orchestra of Europe and in venues such as Carnegie Hall, Vienna Musikverein and Berlin Philharmonie. She appears frequently with Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and at festivals such as Seattle and Moritzburg.
Stella is also a former prizewinner of the Tibor Varga and Menuhin Competitions and currently serves as Li Lin’s teaching assistant at Juilliard. She is a graduate of Harvard University and holds her doctorate from Juilliard. Her all-Schubert debut album is released in Spring 2023. .
