Pianist, composer and arranger, Uri Brener was born in Moscow in 1974. He discovered music at the keyboard, beginning to study the piano at the age of four. He left his native Russia to attend prestigious conservatories in Germany and the Netherlands, before moving to Israel where he completed his training with a doctorate in music composition at Bar-Ilan University. His works were quickly noticed and are now performed on several continents by the greatest conductors (Zubin Mehta, Sergei Nakariakov…). Uri Brener is composer-in-residence of the Israeli Sinfonietta and, since 2016, musical director of the Mikro Theater in Jerusalem. He is also director of the Ron Shulamit Conservatory in Jerusalem.
