Alexandre Vinnitski began his violin studies at the Stolyarsky School of Music in Odessa, before going on to study at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with the celebrated violinist David Oistrakh. The winner of several major international competitions, he has performed in over 50 countries, giving concerts in the greatest concert halls in Europe, Asia and America.
With over 40 years’ experience, he is recognised as one of the best representatives of the Russian violin school and has trained numerous international competition winners. He currently teaches at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow and the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki.

Winner of prestigious awards such as the European Gold Medal for Culture, Vinnitski was appointed Knight of the Order of the White Rose in 2019, in recognition of his significant influence in the world of music.
Among his notable projects is a complete performance of Mozart’s works for violin and chamber orchestra, including his own cadenzas.
