About
Moë Dierstein was born in 2005 into a family of musicians. She took her first violin lessons at the age of three from Susanne Falk in Freiburg. Since the summer semester of 2017, she has been studying at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg, in the violin class of Professor Zgraggen. She has also been able to count on private lessons from Professor Hölscher.
Moë has already won numerous competitions. She was a semi-finalist in the Spohr Competition in Weimar (2019), and won the gold medal in the International Competition for Young British Talent (2020). She was also awarded the Eduard Söring Prize by the German Foundation for Musical Life, praising her “outstanding performance in the field of strings.”
Since 2018, she has been a permanent member of the Landesjugendbarockorchester Baden-Württemberg, giving numerous concerts with this ensemble, including at the Bach Festival in Tübingen.
Moë plays a Giovanni Grancino violin from 1731, generously made available to her by the German Foundation for Musical Life.

I had to deal with many difficult and new situations like playing with the orchestra and perform under high pressure and stress. But I also met really nice people and made new friends, who are just as passionate about music as I am. And I had so much fun playing with the orchestra and really enjoyed being in the city of Sion, that all the stress was definitely worth it.
